The Artists

Formed at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Orix Duo features Korean cellist Yejin Choi and Indonesian pianist Kevin Suherman. Their collaboration began in 2017, quickly earning them top honors, with a performance history that spans iconic international stages like Wigmore Hall and the Bloomsbury Festival, as well as distinguished Australian venues such as Labassa Mansion and Rippon Lea Estate.

Now based in Melbourne, the Orix Duo are celebrated for matching complex programming with confidence and grace. Their current season highlights the monumental task of performing Beethoven's complete Cello Sonatas, a journey through some of the most profound music ever written for the medium.
