The Artists

Trio Conté comprises pianist Chai Jie Low, violinist Rollin Zhao, and cellist Joshua Dema. Each member is an accomplished soloist and ensemble musician, bringing together collective international experience from stages across Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America. Following their sold-out debut at Tempo Rubato, Trio Conté has rapidly emerged as a notable force in Melbourne's chamber music scene.

Named after Nicolas-Jacques Conté, the inventor of the modern pencil, the trio aims to "sketch" vivid musical landscapes for their listeners. Driven by a curiosity for new sound worlds and a commitment to cross-cultural dialogue, they draw audiences into immersive experiences through a vibrant expression of musical colors.
